On June 11th, clients using the Photo Center in the us-east-1 region experienced downtime due to a database upgrade. This resulted in the Photo Center being unavailable for a period, affecting users' ability to access and manage photos.
The outage was caused by technical issues during a database upgrade in us-east-1 which led to the Photo Center going down temporarily. The outage was resolved when the upgrade was reverted and the system restored to a healthy state.
